The 2011 German Hairdressing Awards were awarded for the eighth time by Schwarzkopf Professional and Top Hair International. The award ceremony took place at a gala in the Duisburg force headquarters, attended by some 1,100 guests.
This year’s award received applicants of hairdressers from all over Germany with about 4,000 photos. The selection of images was done by an independent jury of representatives of the hair, fashion and beauty industry. The entries were judged on a coherent and contemporary concept of Hair, makeup, styling and model selection, and implementation.

“The German Hairdressing Awards provide a platform for hairdressers, to showcase their creativity and passion for the hairdressing profession in public” said Bernhard Koopsingraven, Managing Director Schwarzkopf Germany.
Numerous celebrities from hairdressing scene, fashion and television, including American Idol judge Patrick Nuo and top model Franziska Knuppe were present in the Duisburg “power center”
