How to use thinning scissors which have two jagged edges?

I told my mother to get me some thinning scissors and she came back with a pair that have two jagged edges instead of one. They dont seem to do anything when I try to thin my hair with them. How do I use them?

so like scissors? be very careful. you just lightely cut layers in your hair, dont cut all the way because it could look very choppy and not very cute.

yup!
I use to have my hair dresser thin my hair every time I went for a hair cut but I just got my own pair of thinning scissors so I cut my own hair at home now, saves a lot of money.
Thinning scissors work miracles on thick hair, trust me.
